திருவேற்காடு தேவி கருமாரியம்மன் ஆலயம் Arulmigu Devi Karumariamman Temple in Thiruverkadu is a blessing. After 20 years, I revisited this sacred place, specifically planning my trip on a Friday. We chose to go by two-wheeler for convenience. Upon arrival around 6:30 pm, we participated in the common darshan, which was smooth and hassle-free. The poojaris were kind and allowed us to witness the entire pooja and alangaram. The atmosphere was filled with positive vibes, making it a must-visit destination in Chennai, especially with family and friends. However, we encountered an issue when the poojaris handed out flowers to women devotees without discretion, and one even asked us to buy a blade to cut the flowers, which was surprising. I hope the trustees address this matter to enhance the devotee experience. Additionally, the trustees could consider donating building materials for the upcoming Kumbabishekam. Overall, the temple exudes a wonderful energy, and I'm grateful for the darshan.

I have been to this temple many times right from my childhood days. Karumari amman is a powerful god and you'll feel the vibe once you visit this temple. It's a devine place and it's maintained neat and clean. This temple architecture is so good which you can keep admiring any day. The crowd to the temple has increased manifold over the years because of the goddess situated here. The increase in the crowd didn't reflect on the facilities improvement inside and outside the temple. They didn't take any step to improve it. The temples visitor staying place is maintained poorly as well as the restroom facilities. They dont even have a proper parking facilities for the vehicles and there are no signboards. Bus stand is still the same which doesn't reflect the importance of the place. If all the facilities are improved then we can see the increase in the number of pilgrims. Come and visit the goddess and get her blessings. Om Shakti!!!

I've been going to this temple since childhood. Such a wonderful divine place inside the temple alone. I guess since 2005/6 this place hasn't got changed a bit. After many years, I visited this temple on 26th Aug'23 , we reached the temple around 09.45pm on 22nd Aug'23 and decided to stay in the temple's accommodation itself. We were four(My nephews ,elder sister and me) carrying bed sheets and a few necessary things like a water bottle , Mosquito repellents , dress to change in the morning. The whole place was almost occupied, and we went to the other side of the place where only one ceiling fan was working. Somehow we managed until midnight, but then during 1.30am heavy rain started and water started to enter the accommodation place itself. And we had to rush where there was no water. Also, there is no shelter from accommodation to restrooms, most of the people were drenched in rain to use the toilets. The toilets were very messy and disgusting, really fed up with the way the toilets were managed inside the temple premises. And If you're planning to stay in the temple's accommodation , pls avoid it. d Do stay in any nearby hotel and do visit only the temple even in the case of emergency do not enter the toilets inside the temple premises. There are toilers named as "Free" outside the temple premise nearby "Puthu templ" behind the head tonsuring/ear piercing area. But the local women charge ten rupees from each person including kids. Here the toilets are somewhat better but still locks are broken no hot water facility. Literally this area hasn't been changed even after 15 years, i visited last time in 2005/06 when I was in 5/6th grade in school. Most importantly the hotels were so good earlier and I couldn't find any of those good hotels for breakfast outside the temple area. I had breakfast at the nearby bus depot it was terrible. Need a lot of improvement to develop basic amenities inside the temple accommodation place.

The famous Thiruverkadu Devi Karumariamman Temple in Chennai for decades is a delight for the devotees to have a wholesome feel of a spiritual visit. It is due to the location of the temple which is after Vanagram and Velapanchavadi as it is neither inside the city center nor too far away from it. It gives a feel you have travelled outside Chennai due to the highway stretch and also the time taken to reach there. As the temple is undergoing renovation for quite sometime, there are a lot of changes and it is nothing unlike the old way it used to look. However, the divinity and the energy you get once you enter the Temple premises is something which cant be forged into words as it can only be felt during the visit. It is a must visit place for anyone in and around Chennai with their family.

Om Shakthi. Big temple and one of the famous amman temple in and around temple. Mostly all people around these locality would have visited here. Such a Powerful god. Separate places are created for making pongal prasad for amman. So many other than amman gods are also placed inside the temple. Amman created by full wood also inside the temple. Big mandam is constructed which is very good for devotees to take rest after prayer.Big bazaars are available to buy god photos, household items etc...Bus facilities are excellent to visit here. Hotels and restaurants are available on and around. Restroom facilities are missing around temple.Check for timings now due to lockdown restrictions. All should visit with families atleast one time to get amman arul🙏.

One of the famous temple in the city. Big one. The Amman is very powerful enough to grant your wishes. A good place to visit to lose all your troubles. Since the temple is big, it has a facility for marriages too... it seems more than 10 marriages can be done at a time. Too spacious, good. Nearby you have Puthu kovil and Sivan temple. Also you can see beautiful pond opposite to the temple. Shops and stores available for all your temple and house poojai rooms needs. Hotels 🏨 are available nearby temple for accommodation and dining. A dedicated place to put mottai 😅 Wide range two, three, four wheelers, bus parking available. Bus depot is nearby.
