This walkway and suspension bridges are quite new .

The walkway is well constructed but I have concerns about the timber used . They are constructed with treated wood which is great for termines , but as for coastal salt air and spay .. I am not so sure.

There seems to be some effort with a coating on something on maybe one side of some of the timbers.

The treads for the stairs are joined timbers and where they are fastened to the stair rails there are signs of the timber stretching , spreading or splitting ..over time this might be an issue. Pine is not something like to be exposed to the elements without treatment.

The steps in some areas are far too steep and regards to the disabled or aged have been taken into consideration with some of those steep stairs not even having hand rails ..there absolutely no ramps for those in chairs and unless carrying someone in areas is a consideration I wouldn't recommend it at all . The 1 toilet provided is an automatic toilet and it somewhat looks like they think that means cleaning too.

There again is very little concern for the disabled. The fact that a wheelchair could enter is amazing , but there is a gravel steep road in for a truck , ruts and steep stairs in the other direction....

Look the suspension bridges are nice and there has been a lot of effort and work put into them ...

But for the somewhat fit young people seem to be using this trail to challenge their fitness..

For those that are getting older , and the aged or those with a disabled or even if you need a toilet...

I recently walked the coastal walk from Marino to hallet cove and was quite disappointed. While the views were beautiful, the experience was marred by the presence of dog waste along the path. It seems that not all dog owners are cleaning up after their pets, which detracted from the enjoyment of the walk. Additionally, several dogs were not on leads, which was concerning for both safety and the comfort of other walkers with young kids. I hope that improvements can be made to address these issues so that everyone can enjoy this lovely trail without such...

Went with a group of friends from the Marine Parade Reserve entry point and southward to the Coastal Walkway Bridge. Breathtaking views. The hike was more challenging than expected - lots of stepped slopes (up and down) on gravelled paths. Definitely the more challenging portion of Hallett Cove walking trail than the southern points so anyone interested should ensure you’re wearing...

Two impressive pedestrian suspension bridges along an even more spectacular coastal walk between Hallett Cove and Merino. Not wheelchair accessible at all. Lots of steps, including leading to each end of the bridges. Some sway in the bridges, particularly when 6 or 7 people are walking over them at the same time. There was no wind on the day we visited, so not sure how rigid they'd feel on a windy day.

As you stroll across this bridge, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the sparkling waves and the endless horizon. The gentle sea breeze combined with the serene atmosphere of the bridge creates the perfect backdrop for our chat under the sunset. Whether you enjoy watching the sunset-tinged sky or simply enjoying the gentle rhythm of the waves, this place is worth a visit.
