Since moving to Adelaide early this year we are keen to explore walking trails and hike and there is so much to see!
We decided on the Seaview Loop at Shepherds Hill this week. A fairly short loop around 2 km and can be done in an hour but you will encounter some steep sections fairly early on in the walk but the view at the other end is worth it. A dog friendly park we did the loop with our two Labradors who enjoyed the short hike.
A 30 mins drive from the city the park is located near South road. Parking is available (capacity around 20 cars) and there is also a kid zone should you wish to spend some time and have a short picnic. There was also a mud bike park of sorts if that is of interest to you.

There are several scenic trails with levelled and moderately steep terrains. The Seaview Trail especially has lookout locations with amazing vast views of the city and coastline of Adelaide. There are mountain bike trails for beginners as well as more skilled riders, which are separate from the walking trails. There's vehicular access on certain trails in case of emergencies.
