Silver Sands is absolutely beautiful and a perfect beach to take the kids - just watch out for the busy days where it becomes one huge car park! We visit here often but tend to go on weekdays (in school holidays) because each time we've been on a weekend we found there were just too many cars on the beach and not everyone is respectful enough to park there car's up along the top of the sand. Some park right in front of others along the waters edge so you end up with a view of their day out rather than the gorgeousness that is Silver Sands Beach. It is great though because you can take your car, so if you have kids this is absolutely fabulous, no lugging loads of gear across hot sand. you can set up for the day with all of your food and relax. The waters are relatively calm here most of the time with plenty of shallow and it's so beautifully clear. You can also get a really smooth small wave for the kids who love a body board or learning to surf. Things to keep in mind: At certain times of the year they ask for a donation to drive onto the beach. This week it was $8. Also don't forget that you can't take the pebbles.

Often described by a variety of sources (tourism bureaus, social media posts, etc.) as possibly the best beach to visit if you are visiting Adelaide, this beach does deliver the goods. Located in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, this beach is a fair distance out of the city making it an enjoyable drive to get there and back. One of the standout points of the Silver Sands Beach in Aldinga is that you are able to drive your vehicle on to the beach, park it and set up a tent to protect you from the sun. Camping is not allowed and it's my understanding that a parking fee applies on the weekends/public holidays (may be a good idea to check with the local council that has jurisdiction over this beach). Definitely a place to visit at least once during the summer 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is best beach in south australia. Scenic view is at best , it has a hard sand and you are allowed to drive through beach which is very unique experience. You have very long beach lone which makes drive in beach more fun. It has a sany mountain view in other end which make la it landscape beautiful. Pepples are big and colorful in shores. If you get a airbnb near this beach , that will give you amazing experience for beach lover. Do not expect any cafe or restaurant near by.
