Read moreThis was my first time hiking Sturt Gorge. We took the wattle track. Roughly 2hour hike. Very nice walk it would be gorgeous in the autumn and/or spring time. Plenty of Birdlife, we heard what sounded like a family of kookaburras laughing away together. We seen roo poo on the track So if your quiet enough you may even see one or two 😁 the view from the dam wall is stunning and don't forget to shout "ECHO" when you get to the top (my 20month old loved it) It's definitely worth packing some snacks and plenty of water...

The trail (leading down the Sturt River) was clearly defined and ran close to the river itself providing easy access to the shallow water. The trail was surrounded by tons of healthy green trees 🌳 that provided plenty of shade which was accompanied by tranquil sounds of birds chirping, lizards 🦎 rustling🍂, and water flowing 🏞.
