Hemera Estate — Attraction in Altona

Had a wonderful afternoon at Hemera Estates. Rachel was a brilliant host & was very passionate & informative about the wines. We got to sample numerous white, rose & red wine varieties & they were all beautiful & top quality wines!. I have never been a lover of 'Riesling' but for the first time ever I was able to say I have finally found a nice Reisling (Hemera Reisling). Barossa & Light Cab Service try to bring people to Hemera Estate when and where we can because of this is a James Halliday 5 star winery, that has tasting rooms open 7 days a week, with award winning wines, such as our favourite of the range, the 2010 JDR Shiraz which won Best Barossa Shiraz trophy at IWC 2015. There are also winery tours available here between 10am and 5pm, and being located in Lyndoch, there are so many other things to do and see that are nearby after your wine tasting...

An absolutely wonderful wine tasting experience! Our host Hayley was very welcoming and very accomodating to our group. Her knowledge and passion about their wines and the Barossa was outstanding. We sat outside and had our tasting while we enjoyed the delicious platter. I'm not really a red drinker but these were amazing! Especially the Grenache Rose! Thoroughly recommend a visit to Hemera Estate!...
