Montara Winery — Attraction in Ararat

Last night we were totally entertained by Wendy Stapleton and her band, singers, dancers and choir performing Dusty Springfield hits, wow, what a great show, the crowd loved it. Great pizzas, platters and a very cool bar set up in an old bus just added to the magnificent hillside location with glorious views. The people who run it were so nice and helpful. 11 friends and I went down for the long weekend, and it was great. Jimmy and his brother Matt were very nice and friendly. They had live music on the Friday and we had a brilliant evening. Toilet situation is rough as there was only one porta loo. But that is a part of camping. cheap and fun, would highly recommend. This is a beautiful little winery with great views, great wines and fantastic service. The wood fired pizzas were delicious and I particularly loved the Pinot Noir. The decked out bus/bar is a fantastic idea and the kids were entertained with the lawn games. We really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend if you are in the area. Thanks...
