Went out for the day to explore around. Went on the 5km walk and it was honestly more beautiful than I expected! Didn’t take us too long, maybe an 1.5 hrs and wasn’t hard at all. So many beautiful sights and birds around. Definitely will come back to came. Unfortunately some of the signs have weathered and could use an upgrade.

We haven't camped here yet but popped in to check it out. The campsites are small - not for big vans or large groups, but level and tidy. One drop dunny. The day area has a much more spacious feel (though camping not allowed) with fab view of the redbank. Look fwd to staying here longer. Free camping. Gas fires only.

It's certainly a massive wall of red dirt and soil. Great photos and very typically Aussie outback. Bring water, a camera, hat and wear sunscreen. Flies around a fair bit. Keep an eye out for snakes. You can wander down close to the wall if you like. There is a creek, but it's dry in the warmer months.

Saw plenty of kangaroos and emus. Quiet when we went. Don't let the unsealed roads put you off. They're pretty well maintained and we managed it in my normal car. Take your own water, and fly spray. The track is a bit narrow and rocky at times, but I managed to complete it, even with arthritic ankles. Just take it...
