Bostok Reservoir is a hidden gem just minutes from Ballan. First stop is the mineral spring off Shaws Road. The picnic area at Bostok includes free BBQs that are always spotlessly clean and picnic benches. Get there at dusk and dawn and you are guaranteed to see mobs of kangaroos feasting on the grass. Water was very high. Grounds team had the picnic area Spotless for our visit. Very clean and tidy with beautiful surrounds. For those that have never been, it may be tricky to locate as the entry is not sign posted. I think the locals are trying to protect it and limit traffic.
