Bungawarra Wines — Attraction in Ballandean

Cyclists DO NOT go to Bungawarra Wines even though they are on the bike trail. We were refused entry here and were told openly that it was for being on bikes. When we asked for clarification we were told that it was the owner “Jeff’s” policy. Walk ins from car are welcome but not on bikes. We continued on to many other fabulous and welcoming wineries that were very welcoming and hospitable and went above and beyond even offering to deliver the cases...

I visited a few years back now (like 7 years!).. had a great experience with the winemaker at the cellar door.. Maybe he still works there? He gave me some cuttings from their old muscat vines! I propagated them and now we use them as table grapes! Maybe one day i'll try making some wine :)

We really enjoyed visiting Bungawarra and chatting with the winemaker. Our kids were entertained playing with Kelly the dog and the wine was delicious - we purchased a few bottles to enjoy at home. Lovely vista as you look out over the vines and bonus, very close to where we were staying. We were recommended by a few locals to try this winery and weren't disappointed. Thank you...
