We booked the ultimate birthday experience and it was fantastic! It was such a memorable birthday for our child and everyone who joined us.

All the staff are friendly and professional. You can see all the animals are respected for their nature, and that's reflected in their temperament -the animals seem so calm and content.

It was really nice being able to interact with the animals in a guided and safe environment.

Whether or not you have very much knowledge about Australian animals you'll definitely leave with some new fun facts.

Having the sanctuary exclusively for ourselves, our event and guests, it felt like a luxury experience. The cost was very reasonable (a feel good detail being that the money spent goes towards the sanctuary, charity, conservation).

Little thoughtful nuances like having the gate closed once all the guests were present meant that the little ones could roam safely.

3 hrs was the perfect amount of time. No part of the schedule felt too long or short. It was the right amount of time before the little ones got irritable from being tired as well (another thoughtful detail).

The way the children enjoyed themselves and were so inspired afterwards, was so wonderful. From wanting to be like Cindy, to setting up their own pretend sanctuaries, to wanting to learn even more about the animals, the environment and how to help.

I'd definitely recommend this...

Had a fantastic time. Such a great experience meeting so many of our native animals, and learning about their habitats and the conservation efforts of the wildlife sanctuary. It is incredible how much the sanctuary has changed in the 3 years since my first visit, it is even more impressive now as it continues to grow and contribute even more to the important conservation of our native wildlife. We were so lucky to have Alec as our guide and his assistant Michael. I would give them 7 stars if I could. From the moment we arrived they made us feel so welcome and the knowledge and enthusiasm and passion of Alec was contagious. These two young men are an absolute credit to the wildlife sanctuary and their commitment to the conservation of our native animals was clear in every word and every action. That they give so freely of their time and expertise as volunteers made the visit even more special. We leant so much and saw so many animals from the Emus, Black Swans, Roos, Quokkas, Wallabies, Lizards, Water Dragons, Neil the Diamond Python, Tawny Frogmouth, Curlews, Bluey the Kookaburra, Salt Water Crocodile, Sugar Gliders and so much more. And the things that Alec knew about them and their habitats was amazing. Every dollar they raise goes back into the care, welfare and conservation efforts of our native animals. Thank you Alec and Michael for an unforgettable experience. I cant wait to...

WOW WOW WOW!! Such an incredible wild night out!

Finally, the rain stopped and last night we were able to make a little road trip out to Bargo to the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary. Oh my goodness! This place is just incredible on all fronts, conservation, education, and care for such critically endangered Australian wildlife.

This was our first ever nocturnal experience and it did not disappoint. These absolutely beautiful creatures, that definitely do not get recognised enough for their importance to our environment, ecosystems and for just our freaking cute they are, were out and about and so happy to see us.

The team at the Sanctuary were so friendly, so helpful and so informative. They answered any question that was asked and made sure that the importance of keeping these animals around for years to come was at the for-front.

This experience was so hands on. Such a special experience to be able to up close and personal to some of our most precious (and critically endangered) animals.

It is one that we will treasure 💚

** Roxy was a little apprehensive to hold the cockroach at first but it has quickly become her fav and she just cannot stop talking about how...

What an amazing time at the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary! I just loved it all 🤗🥰☺️ We booked the Ultimate Experience and it was so hands on, personal and unique! You do need to book ahead as this is a sanctuary and not open to walk ins but is entirely worth it! An experience I’d tell anyone and everyone they need to do!!! $99 per person for 2 hours in very small groups (it was just my husband and I on ours) and you can touch, pat, hold and watch everything from a baby salt water crocodile, quokka’s and beetongs through to sugar gliders, tawny frogmouths and ringtail possums and that’s only a few of the rest of the animals to see. Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff who really take pride in their work, care of the animals and in educating the public about what they do. Loved it 🥰

Thanks guys, great job with the night experience. The music, lighting, little animals and friendly staff everywhere from directing where to park to opening gates was very well done. We spent 2 hours driving there a back from Sydney, and spent just over half an hour walking around there, but it was a well worthwhile experience. Well priced too and wasn't a ripoff like things closer to home

Booking only as of Feb 2025! We stumbled upon this sanctuary on a Friday morning and on short notice they were able to accommodate us. We chose the premium private tour ($350 up to 4p for 2hrs) and had the best Australian wildlife experience ever. It was incredibly hands-on with some of Australia’s most iconic animals and our guide Peter was very knowledgeable. From feeding marsupials, to holding reptiles, and a talk show in the nocturnal room - all the animals were very well taken care of which is the most important thing. I highly recommend that you do the premium tour as it’s truly unlike anything you’d experience at other sanctuaries and zoos. Thank you Peter and team for the wonderful time and giving these animals an amazing life. We’ll definitely be back soon!
