Dunkeld Arboretum — Attraction in Barwon South West

This is a very encouraging project, with the goal of having yes from all around the world. They have a wide selection of plants, all nicely labelled. It's rare to see an arboretum in it's early days - most trees are still in their youth - but in years to come this week be magnificent. Big lake there too, with several types of frogs; you can press a button to hear the sounds...

Good spot for a quick packed lunch.

A little bedraggled but a good place to stop for a picnic on the road. Grab some food from the general store or the Old Bakery and then pop down here.

Only three stars as there are no tables, not much shelter and no bathrooms. But as a quick lunch spot...

I have given 4 stars for this Aboretum as I admire the work involved both in creating and maintaining this project. You are able to drive through, sit by a beautiful pond, picnic under shady trees with kangaroos or walk for exercise. No fee fir entry. Well done Dunkeld I...
