Five stars for the activities, but drop stars for the reasons below. Great fun up in the trees, and a fantastic challenge for someone afraid of heights! The courses were a great mix of challenging and taking it a bit easier. Very physically demanding, as well as mentally with the heights. Lots of fun ziplines too! We did the super circuit and the zip coaster, both of which were great fun. It is on the expensive side, but it's very well maintained and the staff were mostly very helpful. A few small downers: We were advised upon arrival that we had missed our briefing session and would need to wait for the next one. We were surprised at this and were promptly advised that in the terms and conditions it says to arrive 30 mins before the start time for briefing. As a first point, it really should say very clearly when booking that your session starts 30mins before for briefing. Alternatively, you book for the time of the briefing. When re-assessing the site, I couldn't find it anywhere. In the terms and conditions of the booking email, POINT SIX! was about time to arrive, which is a bit ridiculous. Despite the nature of the activity (very active, climbing), the advice not to take anything on the course with you, and that you can't walk/get public transport there and therefore most people have car keys, the lockers really should be included in the admission price. $5/hr for a locker when you have already paid in excess of $200 for two people is really very frustrating and makes it feel you are just being taken for a bit of a ride. Additionally, when checking in, we were advised of the lockers whereas the couple next to us had their stuff taken behind the counter to be watched and therefore did not need to pay $15 for a locker. Even a locker where you put a coin in and get it back at the end would be better. The lady on the reception desk was not particularly friendly and seemed annoyed whenever we asked a question.
Would highly recommend the course but it would be great if the management could look at the lockers, booking information and some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAttended second week of school holidays as a family of 4; 2A and 2C. Very expensive day out. Our two kids aged 16 and 14 did the Super and Zip Combo ($130+$125) while hubby and I watched. The spectator fee was $25 p/p, which included a 10 minute tree top walk around the circuit - not worth $50. The total outlay for the visit was $305. The kids started with the Super Circuit and went through this pretty quickly - they are both pretty athletic. They both thoroughly enjoyed this and had heaps of fun. The last circuit they wanted to do was the wall climb and tarzan swing. They had watched some people do this when we first arrived and were both excited to do the experience. However, just before lunch, it closed. When asked, staff said it would reopen once they returned from lunch. The kids had been waiting around 45 minutes, when staff arrived with a film crew they were taking around the park. They opened the wall climb and swing for filming. Once the crew had finished, the kids asked the staff if they could now do the climb and swing and were told it had closed for the day. I asked members in the office why the experience was no longer open. They explained it was due to insufficient staff as two had called in sick that morning and extra staff were allocated to the film crew. I appreciate having people call in sick is out of anyone's control, but why did they not do their filming earlier in the morning prior to the park opening, or at the very least tell customers before they pay $300+ that they are filming today, and to expect waits at the circuits and some experiences would close early as a result. We would have gone on another day. They also claimed the tarzan swing was a special experience that it is not routinely open. Where does it say this? My kids still had their zip ride to finish. They went and joined a queue of around 5 kids. The film crew then arrived and we along with the other kids who had been patiently waiting ahead of us were told the film crew would skip the line and go first. The experience left a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Monday 19th of April. We had a session at 11:00AM of Super Circuit. After getting the training by a lady, we started our session and being guided by a crew named KALEB. Firstly, we went on stair no.4. (We did not notice which stair no. was that due to first time experience). Then, we felt itās a bit difficult for us to go for the next challenge, we decided to come back down (there was nobody at the back). Once we came down, KALEB suggested us to go stair no.2 and we went up. However, we couldnāt manage to finish it then we went down again (because, there was still nobody at the back). From then, the argument started as KALEB said that we are not allowed to go back because if there is someone at the back he couldnāt manage to help us down MANY TIMES. However, we did not ask any SINGLE help from him yet he was talking to us very aggressively that he would not let us come in if we go back again. Even when there was 2 girls at the back, they wanted to pass through, he did not notice but focused on arguing with us (Thatās not a good way to do customer service I think). I am wondering what was he there for? His mission is to help us out whenever we were not comfortable with the challenge and we would like to change to another one (as we were still in the 2hr session which we paid for).
My friend and I have been to another Tree Adventure before and we did not feel this much upset even when they were a lot busier than todayās experience. Whenever I do not feel comfortable with the challenge, I think I can ask for help because that is what the crews here for. (Thereās no policy saying that we are not allowed to ask for help or change the challenges during our session) Instead, we got an upset mood and it affected our whole journey as well.
Everything is good, other staffs are very nice and helpful, the challenges are good and fun as well. Only one thing is KALEB who made us feel very bad about this journey experience.
