The 12 (now 7 or 8) Apostles experience itself was great, as was the helicopter experience. Unfortunately however, can’t say the same for the visitor centre. Inside toilets closed!? Outside toilets not clean - last cleaned date documented on the wall said it had last been cleaned 2 days before - not good for such a busy tourist venue. Given how busy it is there you would think they would be all over ensuring the pies, pasties and sausage rolls are being warmed and churned out adequately to cater for the numbers but this was not the case, very limited availability of food in general but also because some of it wasn’t warm enough however it was over a busy lunchtime period. Understand they are very busy but again, they would know how busy it is there and should be able to be on top of what is required. No tables and chairs available to sit at while having a quick bite to eat. Lots of people looking for a spot to sit. Understand it isn’t primarily a cafe or restaurant but people still need somewhere adequate to sit for a bit if needed. A bit embarrassed that this is what is being offered to not only local/Australian tourists but overseas visitors to our country at major tourist attractions. Victoria tourism / government - need to pull...
Read moreI am writing to express concern about an unpleasant experience during our visit to the 12 Apostles Visitor Centre. An older man, who appeared to be a staff member or volunteer, displayed extremely inappropriate behavior. He not only spoke rudely to visitors but also physically pushed my friend, which was quite alarming. His tone and actions made many of us uncomfortable, and it felt as though the situation could have escalated, potentially causing harm. While I understand that everyone can have challenging days, this kind of behavior is unacceptable in a public setting and could damage the Centre’s reputation. I hope that this issue is addressed to ensure a more welcoming and safe environment for...
Read moreThe visit to the Twelve Apostles was a great experience but we had a bad experience with the traffic management of the centre: it was a busy day with loads of cars. Staff were out about directing the traffic etc, it was ok. However, in their infinite wisdom no-one thought about managing the pedestrian crossing on the carpark exit. The result? Cars could get out due to constant foot traffic. We were stuck in the exit traffic for more than 10 minutes which could be solved by posting someone there grouping pedestrians to give cars a fair go. After all, all those people will go back to the same carpark and suffer on...
