He lobbied the Forestry authorities, the Regional Council and local politicians for a small, select group of trees to be removed around this hilltop. Read moreTo access this located you’ll need to drive for a two kilometres along an unsealed road from the Kings Highway. The lookout is located inside the Clyde River National Park. The lookout has an excellent view that looks southeast over the Clyde River and Batemans Bay, all the way to the ocean. If you’re driving here on a wet day you’ll need to be prepared to tackle the mud that comes with driving on the unsealed road. There is parking for about 20 cars at the lookout.
