Great spot for a brief walk in the trees, to take some photos or to have a picnic with a camp-fire (when permitted, BYO firewood). The walk is not for exercise, you could walk the tree trail in 10 minutes and it's fairly accessible (nothing too steep and no steps). Road in and out from main road (from Laurel Hill and Batlow) was in good condition when we went - blue gravel with a few small potholes, just drive to conditions and not too fast and you'll be fine, and be prepared to turn back if it gets too tough (conditions would change quickly after extensive heavy rain, noting that the road is used a lot by logging trucks and 4WDs). If not, regardless of which way you go in, your fwd will always be pointed to a dirt track in order to get out of this forest. Our car got stuck on the way out and we need rescue service.
