The first part has a lot of very steep section that are very exhausting to climb up. Then you walk for a while on a road before following a small path through forest with another steep descent at the end. A pretty cool lookout with a view over Cairns and to the south, but apart from that I would not really recommend the track. Read moreUPDATE Oct 2025: Not much has changed, still a great hike with a nice lookout. Definitely gets the heart pumping, and gets a lot of energy out for the kids. Bug spray is a must though, mosquitos are very hungry here 🦟🦟
A great little hike, kids had a blast climbing, jumping and sure helped to get some energy out! A little high as you go up so definitely need to keep hands held the further you go. Good walk or jog, sure gets your legs...
