A really nice place for a family outing or a romantic picnic. There are toilet facilities, a playground, bbq's and a number of covered tables and chairs, the grounds are well maintained and it would be a nice place to hold a birthday party or wedding as its not a long drive from the metro area for a quiet bush escape. There are a few carparks that have disabled parking, the one at the top level is only a short stroll to the dam wall where you can view the whole area from the dam itself to the overflow leading down to the picnic areas and it's all accessible by wheelchair.

Great little spot. Lots of open grass space, playground, picnic tables and BBQs. Newer bbq is a bit temperamental (or was just running out of gas) pleasant little walk up around the dam wall. Stairs can be a bit steep for some walkers but parking at the top available too. Friendly magpie family that will check out your lunch lives out there too. Very confident! (Please don't feed them though! Human food is bad for them!)

Churchman Brook Dam and playground. The playground is new! Lovely refreshed grounds. New toilet block. Plenty of parking. A couple of bbqs. Plenty of bins. The playground is suitable from about 2 years onwards climbing-wise. However there are paths all around for prams/bikes/scooters. Also a lovely grassed area for running around/kicking a ball. Nearby are bush areas for the kids to explore and of course the dam.

Location is beautiful and the new playground are awesome. The ground in general are well maintained. During our trip they pump control station sounded an alarm and then the water to the toilets was shut off. I am sure this is a safety mechanism but it took someone over an hour to arrive to rectify the issue. Hence no water to flush toilets or wash hands :( Suggest taking your own BBQ if you intend to cook as, out of the 4 we tried, only one worked and even that, only one burner would turn on. Other people have commented on this issue so, I am not sure why this still has not been fixed. It is pretty...

Churchman Brook Dam is a fantastic little getaway in the Perth Hills area. It has plenty of space for picnicking and ball sports with the fam. The views from the dam wall are incredible and the tin lids will love the occasional encounters with the many kangaroos and black cockatoos inhabiting the area. There is also currently a new nature playground in development which further ads to the fan fair. The dam has plenty of bbq facilities and covered seating areas. Great spot for a quiet gathering...
