Another gem in within the Great Otway National Park, this is, arguably, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Great Otway National Park. The 3km (return) walk takes you through a beautiful forest filled with mountain ash and large myrtle beech trees as well as giant, thick ferns.

The walk to and from the falls is moderate-easy. The walk towards the falls is downhill and the return is uphill (duh!). The return journey is a bit steep and there are a number of steps on the way, which could get a bit slippery with rain.

To get to the falls, take the walking path from the Beauchamp Falls Campground located on the Beauchamp Falls Road. Once you turn off the Beech Forest-Mount Sabine Road, there's about a 3km drive along an unsealed/gravel road, but nothing a normal sedan...

The walk to the falls is short but beautiful, winding through tall mountain ash, tree ferns, and dense undergrowth that feels a world away from the everyday. With each step, the sound of the cascading water grows stronger, building anticipation for what’s to come.

After a gentle descent, the forest opens to reveal the falls—tumbling into a clear pool below, framed by mossy rocks and ferns. It’s a cool, quiet spot that invites you to pause and take it all in. Even with a few others on the track, it still felt peaceful. Beauchamp Falls is a rewarding walk and a great example of the Otways...

Pros would be the waterfall, the view, the relatively clean drop toilets..did i mention the waterfall(2.5km hike..not too difficult a little steep towards the end, but worth it for an icey dip to cool off) Con. Definitely a busy spot. Not a lot of room for floor tents or car/caravans, even lots of day visitors just for the waterfall or a picnic. The wind, especially if you got a roof top tent. And i got Mad hayfever when we were up there(don't normally get hayfever but I couldn't stop sneezing and felt like needles were piercing my eyes the whole time haha) BUT - would i go back!? -...

The BEST dog friendly campground & waterfall in Victoria, Australia! šŸ¾šŸ•ļø I was so excited to stay at this campground because it’s FREE, dog friendly (despite being in a national park) & the walking trail to Beauchamp Falls begins from the camp area. The campground is roughly a 50min drive inland from Apollo Bay and has drop toilets, picnic tables & firepits (you’ll need to bring your own water & take rubbish with you). There is some firewood around the campsite but I would recommend bringing your own in case it’s wet - you don’t want to miss out on having a fire! Beauchamp Falls: 🄾3km / 1hr 15min return This was easily one of my favourite waterfalls I’ve seen. The walk winds through the rainforest with trickling creeks & trees covered in moss. It was a little steep on the way back and a few slippery steps right at the bottom of the track to the waterfall, but a fairly easy walk overall. There’s a viewing platform at the top and then you can walk down to the waterfall (was a little muddy so don’t wear white sneakers). 怰ļøTip: Arrive early to the campground (before 12pm) to secure a campsite with an amazing view and a firepit - there a roughly 8 sites facing the mountains, with 4 shared firepits. šŸ“ŒSAVE this post for your travel planning šŸ“Beauchamp Falls Campground, Flannagan Rd Beech Forest, Victoria - - - #vanlife #vanlifeaustralia #visitvictoria #greatoceanroad #travelaus #beauchampfalls #freecampvictoria #dogfriendlycamping #waterfallaustralia

Quick trip down to Beauchamp Falls after some heavy rain. Sun came out and plenty water flowing. Magic walk through the forest about 1.2km each way, noting downhill on way and uphill return. Plenty parking and. Basic amenities at car park.
