Lake Bellfield reservoir had a few points of interest. There is the 800m long dam wall which can be walked across. Some folk were fishing there. There are picnic areas along the shore and swimming and kayaking are permitted in demarcated areas. It is also possible to drive below the dam wall to a large car park near the spillway. The water gushes out with great force and is quite a sight and sound! We spotted kangeroos and a large stag wandering near the car park.

Very impressive piece of engineering and a beautiful place for a picnic or short walk. The dam wall has plenty of parking and easy access, with picnic areas, toilets and viewing points. The walk across the dam wall is easy and is worth the effort to see the engineering required to create the spill way. Very short drive from Halls Gap and the motels.

A popular spot to go for a walk, swim or picnic while you sit back and enjoy the views. A nice damn wall to walk along and take in the wildlife that comes by you otherwise further down the lake there is plenty of picnic areas. Lots of and people launching small boats and kayaks as well as swimming and enjoying the calm waters.

Lake Bellfield in Halls Gap is a stunning location to visit on your way or out of Halls Gaop. the lake supplies water to Halls Gap and Pomonal. The lake itself is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water reflecting the surrounding mountains and sky. There are plenty of walking and hiking trails in the area. Kid friendly and panoramic views from the...
