Our tour guide Fay was excellent!
We booked in advance for the farm tour online and were greeted right when we arrived. Fay then showed us around the farm while explaining the properties of each plant and what products they were used in. She also explained their techniques for biodynamic and organic farming along with how they harvested certain plants and in which seasons. We were able to visit the drying room and afterwards were taught how they extracted the properties from each plant. Fay was very knowledgeable and answered all of our little questions.
Since we toured during the winter a lot of the plants were cut back and harvested, but there was still a lot of gorgeous greenery and herbs. It was incredibly interesting to see the process behind the products. The day that we came it was very rainy and muddy so make sure you come prepared and wear the right shoes, they also kindly gave us umbrellas so we wouldn't be drenched. When we were back inside Fay served us hot tea while we looked around, make sure to come prepared to get some products from the cute little Jurlique store.
Overall, an amazing experience that I definitely recommend for anyone who is interested in skincare, gardening, or just likes to be in a beautiful place. We will definitely be coming back to see the roses in bloom when it's warmer. Thank you Jurlique and...
Read moreI had bad feeling whole day after being kicked off from the farm.
I visited your farm expecting a pleasant walk and to explore your rose and lavender products. After leaving the shop without purchasing, I decided to walk around first to have an inspiration from the local nature first, have a think about what to order and enjoy the farm first.
I went to rose patches and lavender patch and the way was clearly indicated closed.
I went to the back of the farm to see if there is anything else to explore as there are some more space to see and no map was on my way. I saw a woman with a picnic bag or a food bag returning from another place seems to be interesting near the clearly marked toilets and assumed the area was open to visit. Before went there I have decided to have a rest and sit on the bench as I received bad news from my family member.
However, a staff member asked me to leave, despite there being no signs indicating it was restricted. When I asked if I could sit a little longer, she agreed, but 5 mins later, another staff member rudely asked me to leave again. She said LEAVE NOW. Leaving that place I asked if I can sit on the bench under a tree near car park. And she said I cant sit there. She insisted to leave the farm and make sure I go to my car and leave now.
I decided not to return to their shop or buy their...
Read moreHave you ever wondered what goes into the making of all the Jurlique products? Want to test your plant knowledge? This is the right tour for you. It's an immersive tour that walks you through every step of what makes up a Jurlique beauty routine - from plant to face! You get to try lots of products and the guides know a huge amount about plants. You can see and learn the history of the farm and smell your way through the garden as well as learning the properties of each different plant. We were very lucky to pick an ideal day for this tour in the low 20s but I wouldn't want to be doing it in any kind of heat as you are standing in the sun for a looong time and going in and out of hot houses. The same for the wet weather, we were lucky the ground was very stable, as at times you were walking through fields. There is no doubt this is a highly informative tour that lets you see 'behind the scenes' of Jurlique and become more familiar with their products. If you are not steady on your feet or used to standing for periods of time, this is not the tour for you. If it's a warm day smash on that...
