Wildwood Gardens.
Dedicated to Wayne and Sue, where all credit is due.
I see splendour as I walk today, among the treasures of life at play. To listen to Nature and be as one, to be amazed at the sights to come.
I rest among Nature's gifts, and quietly set my mind adrift. I view the world through misted eyes, so beautiful. I just want to cry.
Like the golden leaves upon the ground, and the whispering of Nature's sound. Rustling creatures going about their play, my worries now, Nature does allay.
The morning dew, bending, a blade of grass, a butterfly wafting gently passed. a plaintiff cry of a bower bird's call, swaying trees above, so tall.
I am alone but not alone, as I sit here in this awesome throne, A throne made not of any man-made kind, a seat of calmness for my soul to find.
I feel the centuries of past gone souls, I let my mind relax to play the role. Long gone life's of ancient times, my rested mind now acts and mimes.
I see myself play the life of a dragonfly, as it wisps and darts flying low and high. Now I am lizard darting here and there, or a parrot's colours, which nought, can compare.
No longer in my own time zone, mesmerized now, in my lofty throne. I hear the tinkling of a babbling stream like the sound of a Franz Liszt's ivory theme
I slowly rise from this magic place, time now to retreat back to the human race. Oh I wish that I could remain, and be part of Nature's loved domain.
Still, I guess there will be another day, when I can sit and watch Nature play. Please, let it be sooner than late, please Nature, let this be my...
Read moreWildwood Garden is truly a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers. Every corner of the property feels thoughtfully nurtured, with beautiful seasonal blooms, serene ponds, and peaceful walking paths that invite you to slow down and soak in the tranquility. What made the visit even more special was the warmth and hospitality of the owners — they were incredibly welcoming, passionate, and genuinely eager to share the beauty of their garden with visitors. Wildwood Garden isn’t just a place to admire flowers; it’s a place that touches your heart. Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with nature, or simply enjoy some of the best apple pie around, Wildwood Garden is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward...
Read moreWhat an unexpected surprise. When we were driving in bilpin and saw a sign for nursery and garden we were expecting just a small Mum and Dad run nursery. When we got there we were blown away! The nursery shop and cafe were lovely (we did not eat there so can not advise on the food) prices were great and store items wide and varied. The gardens themselves were spectacular and well worth the garden entry costs. The formal gardens and waterfall gardens were so beautiful it is hard to believe these gardens have only been created from scratch in the 80s. I can't wait to go back again and will be bringing my whole family as well as friends. Will never miss this place anytime I visit Bilpin on the...
