As tourists we travelled about 2 and a half hours from Launceston through rough road and choppy mobile reception to be met by a turquoise ocean glazed with remarkable red stone. The Bay of Fires is a sight to behold and worth the travel to get to. The sea breeze is refreshing to the respiratory system, the people seem relaxed and approachable. The beach is very family friendly and there are facilities available for washing yourself and changing. The toilets are not half bad either.
