You are allowed to drive within the park, along the marked tracks (some are 4wd recommended). We visited mid to late afternoon and it felt like we were going on a wombat and kangaroo safari tour! Lots of wombats basking in the sun above their tunnel networks. They are pretty big and a little skittish but we managed to get some pics 😊 Also saw some of the biggest red kangaroos we've ever seen!

It's a wombats' kingdom! I've seen many of them during just a couple of hours. Also several bright birds. Charcoal pits walk was nice as well. Please mind, the park is considered closed after sunset. And that's for the reason.

Surprisingly beautiful and serene. Saw plenty of huge wombat holes but no actual wombats. Probably better to go at dawn or near dusk. Only negative is that the directions inside the park are a little hard to follow.
