Fainter Falls — Attraction in Bogong

Fainter Falls, one of the best waterfalls in the region. I have visited several times, at different times of the year, and there is always plenty of flow. Good parking, no public toilets or picnic area, although you can take lunch. A relatively easy walk, there are several spots where you can dip if the weather is hot. A very nice waterfall at the end of a 700m walk over mainly low gradient, but narrow pathway. There are some steep steps about 600m in which are short but difficult. If you can brave these, you get a lot closer to the actual falls. If not, there is a viewing platform only 30m past these steps that will still give a reasonable, but distant view. 20 minute drive from Mt Beauty. Small narrow path with stones and tree roots. Good walk. 3 outlooks. Thongs can take you to the first 2 outlooks, walking shoes/runners for the 3rd outlook (closest to waterfall) as its very steep and lots of rocks.
