Won't go back in a hurry. The owner was nice. But for the price we paid and what the place was like, it really wasn't worth it. Creek was stagnant water, so the kids could not play in it. I did have a look on the website, so this information (if it is there at all) is clearly not as prominent as it should be. But the property has high voltage power lines running through it. We luckily were not as close as some of the other sites, if we had been I would have wasted $120 as there is no way I could stay. I suffer from debilitating headaches when too close to them. My youngest is very sensitive too, and by the last night she was struggling. I actually thought I was going to have to drive her home in the middle of the night. I don't have an issue with drop toilets. But when you are paying the same price as a place like Cobb and Co, it would be nice to have a creek to play in, accessible water and a place to throw your waste. Showers were a 15 minute walk, so quicker to drive. Fire pits only allowed in the designated circle, but it isn't in a very central spot so some of the group had to walk quite a distance to join everyone.
All in all, it was a nice enough place but for the price, it really wasn't worth it. Can't stress enough that the high voltage power lines should be mentioned so people are well aware they could be camping quite...
Read moreThese sites are huge! Well worth the money just for the space!! Easily could take a large group. We loved that no one could turn up and decide to camp right next to us. There is drop toilet at each site. BYO toilet paper. River/creeks in some spots is lovely but be mindful of the fallen trees in may places so we stuck to little creek run offs to splash some water to cool off. Firewood available and you can use the fire pit ( one at each site). There are showers available from 1600 but we didn’t see them as we are self sufficient. Pet friendly also. Trail rides also available. Fishing is catch and release but again be mindful of the fallen trees underwater. All in all we had a lovely peaceful weekend. Imbil is only five or so minutes away so worth stopping in ( can recommend the...
