Bongil picnic area — Attraction in Bonville

Great spot to picnic for young and old. Has toilets, gas BBQ and plenty of picnic tables. Short walk to lookout over river. Pontoon is nearby which can launch canoes and small waterfront. Fishing also can be done from there. Plenty of bird species to spot with friendly kookaburras that will eat from your hand....

A great spot for a picnic. Has a spot on the creek wit a sign that says Pontoon. I didn't actually see the pontoon but I'll take their word for ot that its there. A family of very photogenic Kokaburras were in attendance but no food stealing. Ill see if I can find some of my wifes photos an stick...

A favourite spot. The picnic area is superb. Plenty of good walking trails, especially those leading down the creek towards Sawtell. The only negative feature was the number of mosquitoes which are currently in plague proportions. Still enjoyed our walk very much but must remember the aeroguard...
