A modest, but well appointed, cellar door serving excellent wines against a stunning backdrop.
We were a group of almost 20. While we had pre-booked, only one staff member was working when we arrived. This meant that service was occasionally slow while he attempted to juggle serving other customers, selling wine and pouring our 20 glasses at a time. That said, the gentleman that served us did it all with a smile on his face and still found time to describe the winery's history, philosophy and each wine in some detail. Timing improved when another staff member was summoned to start early, the early summons itself a show of the commitment to service on display here.
The wines on offer are interesting and varied and were among the best we sampled in Orange. We were particularly taken with the sparkling white to start and the pinot noir. If the #003 (amber) is on pour, definitely ask for a glass - it was one of our favourites.
As mentioned, the cellar door is not as large as those of some of the bigger, commercial producers in the region, but it is tastefully done and appears relatively new. The views of the rolling countryside from the outdoor deck are stunning.

This allows you to compare between them. I actually think this was a brilliant way to taste the difference and not forget which one you preferred. The Cellar Door bloke is so good. He explained all about the winery, went into detail about the process of producing the wines, told us the history of the winery and most of all, was down-to-earth which made us not-quite-wine-connoisseurs feel relaxed and comfortable. We had a great time and bought some beautiful wines. Definitely...

My wife and I recently enjoyed the Savour experience at Swinging Bridge Winery in Orange, and it was nothing short of exceptional. We tasted six beautifully crafted wines, each thoughtfully paired with matching canapés that elevated the flavours and showcased the winemaker’s artistry. The pairings were spot-on—balanced, inventive, and deeply satisfying.
The staff were not only welcoming but impressively knowledgeable, sharing insights into both the wines and the winemaking process with genuine passion. Their enthusiasm added depth to the tasting and made the experience feel personal and memorable.
