Little beach is a nice, and fairly secluded beach which is a 10 min walk from the carpark. The walk is an easy one over a well maintained fire tail down to the campsites and beach. We visited with young children and they were able to complete most of the walk down and back up afterwards unaided. There are a couple of steep sections but all in all it's not too bad. The campsites I assume need to be booked through the National Parks and Wildlife Service. There are half a dozen sites with a couple of pit toilets and a covered cooking area. We visited for a day trip so can't comment much more on the camping aspect. The beach itself is sandy and for most of the day when we went there was pockets of shade provided by the hills surrounding the beach. There are many rocks in the water but there was enough room to swim and it seems to be a popular place to snorkel or do some spearfishing. There are rock platforms either side of the beach for exploring and for the bushwalkers there are tracks heading north and south to the other beaches and spots within the Bouddi...
Read moreThe coast walk between Putty Beach and McMasters beach is my new favourite place on the central coast. Stunning cliffs beaches and views. On a calm day several places look brilliant for snorkelling. Parking at the start of the walk at Putty is $8. However, you can park in the Kilcare parking area and walk the extra km along the beach to get there. Would like to walk the full length, but would need pickup the other end. If you are parking Putty or Kilcare, a good walk would be to Maitland Bay. The rocks on the far point are stunning. Rock pools teeming with life. Follow the track up over the point for 10 mins and there are awesome clifftop views. A good day trip would be to pack a lunch, swimming gear and water, and explore your way around to Maitland Bay. I'd then stop there for lunch. Explore the rocks and track at the far end. And head back when done. Its not a difficult walk, but its a fair distance. Good shoes, hat, sunscreen and water mandatory. Go there - you will not be...
Read moreOur experience on the Bouddi Coastal Walk last Sunday was nothing short of amazing. The trail through Bouddi National Park is very well-maintained, making the hike enjoyable and safe. The picturesque views of the environment are truly breathtaking, offering plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
Despite being a popular spot, it wasn't too crowded, allowing for a peaceful and immersive nature experience. However, it’s worth noting that the hike does require above-average stamina, so be prepared for a proper hiking adventure.
One of the highlights of our day was spotting an eagle soaring gracefully through the sky. It was a magnificent sight and added a touch of magic to our hike.
Overall, I highly recommend the Bouddi Coastal Walk for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of nature while getting a good workout. Whether you're an avid hiker or just someone who appreciates scenic views, this trail is...
