Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens — Attraction in Bowral

Lovely little garden with some pretty flowers and nice seating however as someone who came from Sydney using public transport, it was quite underwhelming and not worth the travel. I do see the potential with the garden growing to something more though.

Very disappointing. After watching this place with anticipation for 8 years it really hasn't developed into anything much. The plants and layout are uninspiring. It appears the money is spent on buildings and fancy bench shade covers instead of making a garden. The kids playground is a good addition but rather small and uninteresting for kids. 5 stars because the playground is wonderful. All abilities and ages, suitable for toddlers who can't walk yet. No mulch/bark in sight! And it's fenced!
