What a gorgeous location. So much flora and funa to see and hear too. In a very short time I'd seen white-faced herron, wood ducks, a flock blue wren, magpie, cockatoo, fish (several unknown species), a wild bee hive, a western tiger snake, willy wagtail, eclectus parrot, mulga parrot, rainbow lorikeet, 28's and loads of different eucalyptus species, grevillea victoriae, grevillea olivacea, wisteria, melaleuca viminalis, onion grass (romulea rosea), Bermuda buttercup (oxalis pes-caprae), bottlebrush (Callistemon speciosus) and loads more besides. The Blackwood river was dark with tannins, slow moving and a delicious...

Loved sitting by the river in Bridgetown any time of the year. Its just so peaceful watching the ducks on the water. The gardens around the area are always kept so beautifully and are a credit to the gardener/s. Having the public toilet close by is always very handy and are also kept pretty clean. I believe there are farmers market on the weekend there, which I don't mind going to when I can remember they are on. There's a sign that blocks 🚫 a person's view from seeing traffic come down the hill and people need to be aware that this...

Picturesque sheltered setting alongside a river with walkways. Bowling club with year-round surface in as-new condition is adjacent. Friendly efficient staff keep facilities in excellent state of cleanliness, paper towels and hot water in loos. Large sites with linear set-out so no rear neighbours, plenty of separation. Slabs plus parking for powered sites. Birds abound, blue wrens aplenty. An oldie...

Easy meander into town (from Bridgetown caravan park) via the Blackwood River Park. Admire the beautiful Blackwood river, the underside of the bridges, kiddies playground as well as the facilities at the park itself. If you go a bit further up the walk continues to ‘the Rectory walk’. Plenty of entertaining birds along the way including blue wrens and red breasted tiny birds (robins?)

Great hosts and a fabulous location over the Blackwood River. The park was full and we were only able to get a compact motel style unit to stay in. It was clean and included a microwave, toaster, electric kettle a.ndctea/coffee. Parking for the unit was a hassle and the overflowing smelly rubbish bin adjacent wasn't perfect
