Sunnyhurst Winery — Attraction in Bridgetown

Took the family to Sunnyhurst Winery on the Kings Birthday long weekend. We were treated to an excellent and virtually private tasting while sitting overlooking the amazing gardens. Geoff is a wonderful host with a green thumb and his wife has an incredible knack for turning out some amazing wines. We thoroughly enjoyed one of the two bottles of white that we took chilled for dinner and are really looking forward to drinking each of the bottles we tasted today and took away (Far too good not to have one of each). The kids were able to take our little fur ball around the gorgeous gardens and play on the swing under the fig tree while we had time to chat with Geoff and enjoy the wines on offer during the tasting. I have never been to a winery where I have enjoyed each and every wine the winery had for tasting. Sunnyhurst Winery is the first, and their wines are exceptional. Each one was a joy to sample. So tasty, so much flavour. This winery is a hidden gem and although I may not be able to visit as often as I would like, I will definitely continue to purchase their wines via their website. I have tried many a 'pricey' wine from some of the 'best' wineries in Australia, and none would sit above Sunnywest Winery. High praise I know, but so true. A HIDDEN GEM! I had the pleasure of visiting Sunnyhurst Wine in Bridgetown, and it was a wonderful experience. The setting is small and cosy, offering a one-on-one tasting that truly makes you feel at home. You can taste the love and passion behind this small, homely winery. The tasting was done by the winemaker herself, which made it all the more personal. I highly recommend supporting this local winery, especially since they also showcase local artists on their wine bottles. The service was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and personalised. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great wine and supporting local businesses!
