The correct address if they havent changed the address as I pointed it out to them, the Wilson walkway is not Bowman Pl. It is at Summit Pl. Drive along Westlake dr and turn into Summit Pl, Mt Ommanny, this is the correct address.
Wilson walkway is the name of the walking trail.
A very bushy location looks small as it has two under cover tables also a public toilet which is disability friendly. Than after the toilets there's a track, at the start of the track it has a drinking fountain and a dog bowl that is filled by the tap above the bowl or the over flow from the fountain. Follow the bush track which is not paved but easy seen, it takes you into the bushland over a wooden bridge back onto the bush track there is a fenced off area cause there are dear along side the river and they fence the area off to stop them running out onto the streets the dear are all wild, if u are lucky u will see one or two. Follow the walking track it takes u over another small wooden bridge and further into the bush, make sure u are wearing good shoes as the ground gets a bit bumpy and also has small rocks on the path, no problems though, but ur best wearing covered shoes as it is the bushlands and there are wild life like all bushland has, so to be safe not to trip or slip good shoes are the key, the path has lovely over hanging trees and thru the Bush on ur left walking into the track is the Brisbane river. Follow the track up which brings u to a clearing that has a couple of bench seats there that over look the beautiful view of The Brisbane River. Its not a huge walk up to that clearing, is about a 500 to 600 meter walk. So roughly its about a half a kilometer walk from the start of the track to the seats. Its a great place to walk ur dog or just to take a quiet stroll or jog. Its very peaceful. Specially sitting looking at the view. Every person i walked past were all friendly and considerate of the space when passing each other. I had a great 30minute(roughly, could of been shorter or longer)conversation with a women walking her dog, she was in her late 20s and very friendly as well as her dog, she told me that that was her first time on the walking track to and she said she would be back for sure as her and her dog loved the walk. Past the clearing You can walk further on if ud like to down the track further into the bushlands. I just sat on the seat(bench) and watched the reflections of the sky and clouds off the river. It was lovely, I will be back for sure. So for anyone who likes checking out new walking tracks, give this one a try, u can walk as far or as short as u would like. It was a beautiful day in a lovely area. Can't wait till next time, hopefully i see a dear.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE............ The address is NOT CORRECT if u go to SUMMIT PL you will see the entrance, THIS IS CORRECT," SUMMIT Place .."
I went to the address written and it took me to a water tank no where near A path or the spot I went to b4, but the pictures in all The reviews are right. Even has a picture of the correct street to go to to find the entrance.,I have put this street sign up in my review, this is where u need to go... ( Remember The address posted is wrong. It isnt the walking path, if u have a problem finding it, just look up Summit Pl, Mt ommanny and u will find it there.👌🏼 Just look at all the pictures for this place and the street signs are the correct place to go to the start of the walking path. Once u turn into Summit Pl you will see the walking path entrance and signs. Also has a toilet at the beginning of the path. You cant miss the entrance.
It's worth finding it. The path takes u for a lovely walk, the ground is rough though so wear good shoes. Have a great day. The Photo of the street sign in my review is the correct place to go. U can't miss it as soon as u turn into the street the entrance is directly in front of you. If u drive just park on the side of the road or up on the footpath like I did. ITS A LOVELY WALK WITH...
Read moreA lovely walk, but the Google Maps address is wrong. The address is Summit Place. DO NOT FOLLOW THE GOOGLE MAPS ADDRESS!!! Amazing views and a cool place to walk at twilight. We even saw deer! The only thing is that there's a lot of hills, so if you're not a fan of that maybe this isn't the walk for you, but it's a great...
