Nestled between Richmond Roads Cannon Hill, D’arcy Rd Seven Hills and Adjoining Morningside, Carina and Norman Park; Seven Hills Reserve is a beautiful bushland reserve. Accessible by each of these suburbs, with dirt paths leading across the span of it. Some paths are flat, some hilly to get the glutes working. The flora and fauna changes with the seasons, and it’s a beautiful thing to have a local bushland area like this so close to the city. Definitely one of my local faves for walk and talk catch up, as it’s a generous sized expanse of bush filled area. Great to take the dog for an explore, too. Read moreA unique remnant of original bushland, saved from development by the hilly terrain. Good for a workout, OK for a stroll. Several designated entry points and made tracks, but no specific parking facilities or toilets. Once a favourite dumping ground (you can still see the odd rusted kitchen appliance), the area has supposedly never been grazed and thus still has some rare native plants. I've seen lizards, birds but no other fauna. Wear good shoes and a hat, take a water bottle and phone (you could get lost or find a good photo opportunity). Read moreWe did the 3km circuit walk, and the length was just right for my senior dog. The walk was very enjoyable, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a drinking fountain halfway along the trail. It was a thoughtful addition, and my dog made full use of it.
