Broadwater National Park — Attraction in Broadwater

Loved the visit. Was well worth a drive down from Brisbane. Even though the trails were closed for motor vehicles, they are open for hikers and bicycles. So I had lots of fun riding my mountain bike on Hind Dune trail, the a ride through Evans Head, then back on the main road and then short cutting through Death Adder trail back to the beach lookout. Some deep sand makes bike riding a challenge but well worth exploring if you haven't yet. Plenty of small wildlife, stick insects, grasshoppers, etc. Saw a few roos. Riding on the beach in some areas was fun too, at low tide. Being Sunday it wasn't crowded at all, a contrast from the overcrowded Gold Coast or Byron Bay....

Great fun four-wheel driving. Levels for everyone . Suggest if entering from boundary creek road get on the uhf and lower tyre pressure. Go slowly and watch for oncoming traffic. The beach has plenty of pippis for fishing but don't take them from the beach or go over the limit there is someone on...

Nice village but nothing much to see.the sugar mill use to have tourers going a long tine ago why nor do it again get some tourists there they can eat at the pub or church that is a cafe now. and its not fat from evens head or Ballina...
