Loved the visit. Was well worth a drive down from Brisbane. Even though the trails were closed for motor vehicles, they are open for hikers and bicycles. So I had lots of fun riding my mountain bike on Hind Dune trail, the a ride through Evans Head, then back on the main road and then short cutting through Death Adder trail back to the beach lookout. Some deep sand makes bike riding a challenge but well worth exploring if you haven't yet. Plenty of small wildlife, stick insects, grasshoppers, etc. Saw a few roos. Riding on the beach in some areas was fun too, at low tide. Being Sunday it wasn't crowded at all, a contrast from the overcrowded Gold Coast or Byron Bay....
