A beautiful dam to kayak on. We all thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of this dam with the water being clean and clear. There's a good boat ramp for launching kayak or boat. You can drive over the dam wall and take in views of the dam too. There is no cafe/shop out there so take your food and drinks. There are toilets and a picnic area. We went on a weekday and it was very quiet.

A great place to visit for recreational kayaking and fishing. Great views of the mountains and mostly protected from the wind. Some great photo opportunities as well. A lovely camp ground at the West of the dam. My father remembers the area before the dam was built he used to grow corn on the rich river flats now covered in water. The dam is currently overflowing down the spillway. Lots of local wildlife all...
