Great experience and lesson for All Muslims who are living in Nonmuslim Countries. Just like Brother Amanullah shah (Boby) he is going to ask his parents why they did not teach Him Religion of ISLAM. Nevertheless same question we will be ask from our kids? What we r doing for them.. it’s still not too late but teach them Deen of ISLAM and show the beauty of ISLAM because if we don’t show them what those unbelievers people are holding theirs thoughts Muslims mean Terrorist But They don’t know it’s an honour to live with A true believer Muslims

What a great historical mosque, standing proudly in memory of the early Afghan cameleers. It would be a mistake to just look at it from outside & leave. Ring Aminullah (also called Bob) and let him tell you of the past history and future plans for the mosque. It was a pleasure visiting this Mosque & meeting Bob. Highly recommend a visit.

I didn't have an appointment and was in Broken Hill for a short period of time. Aminullah and his wife called me back when they were able to open the Mosque for me to tour. It was so interesting, learned so much if history about the area and Muslims in Australia. Very grateful for this experience

This was a really great experience. Definitely a highlight from my Broken Hill trip. 'Bob' was kind enough to show us around the historic property after a quick phone call. Did not expect him to arrive so promptly and with such great enthusiasm. As the designated caretaker of the property, 'Bob' is doing an excellent job in preserving the history and significance of this mosque. I would highly suggest anyone who visits the town of Broken Hill to visit this mosque and if you have spare time, to sit with Bob and learn more about its...

This is the first mosque in New South Wales, built in 1887 (the first in Australia is Marree SA), following the influx of Middle Eastern men aka Cameleers who were the primary mode of transport for the interior of Australia during the 19th century. You must call the director and arrange a time for him to open the museum for you, but it is worth your time because Bobby (the director) is extremely knowlegeable being a descendant of the Cameleers of Broken Hill. 10/10 a very important State Heritage listed item...
