It was a nice, easy walk on a well maintained path. We walked it but the track is wide and clear enough to easily ride push bikes. Plenty of spots to rest if you need them. The scenery changes between paddocks, eucalypt forest and light rainforest at various points. Loads of birds around. We didn't see any koalas but it sure feels like they would be around if you are lucky enough to spot one. We walked from Brooloo to Imbil, had lunch at the pub and then walked back which was a really nice way to relax for the day. It was just under 5km each way. We went quite slowly to listen to the birds and spot wildlife along the way so it was about an hour in each direction but you could do it quicker if you wanted to.

We did a combination walk and bike ride along the Rail Trail, starting at Imbil and stopping for lunch at Brooloo. Well formed, and sign posted path with information boards providing local history. The path has little shade so probably best in the cooler months. Also there are no toilets or water, but picnic style shelters and some seating is provided. Parking is easy at either Brooloo or Imbil ends.

Absolutely beautiful rail trail. Partly rode on 29th August. We started at Imbil but were stopped in our tracks at 1.8 km with track closure/reconstruction/temp fence barrier. Cyclists coming from the opposite direction were still going through. We were told there was a trail closure at Kath Simmons picnic area as well.
