The Arch, Mars Bluff and THE WALK! Google maps says 4.1k.. google says 7.1k.. my wife says 12k.. it was a LONG hike that I'd recodmend giving a good 3.5 hours for a return trip for and be prepared for steep inclines towards the layer half followed by steep declines. This is a beautiful trip though and the arch is awh inspiring. Pictures can be deceiving as it is attached to a larger rock formation but this is equally amazing. The walk will take you up a mountain, down a beach path and then you whack a u turn down the beach towards the cliffes but DO NOT GIVE UP. it is worth every minute. Parking is best opposite bruny island honey and there is a useful self serve book on the trail to record your trip incase you go astray and...

If you want an easier, shorter walk, then you should visit when the tide is low. Otherwise you’ll have to hike up and down to make your way around and avoid the water. It’s still worth it. The hike is not impossible but it has about 10min uphill at the beginning of the way there and on the way back (with a couple of sets of short stairs too) I think it’s doable even if you are not too fit, there’s a spot for resting under the shade of a tree. I would recommend visiting, take plenty of water and do it at...
Read moreWe didn’t end up getting over the the arch as the tide was coming in. Due to bad weather we didn’t take the longer track over the rocks. However, the walk itself was quite beautiful and the beach is stunning with some nice surf. Beware of snakes! We had a close encounter with a 1.5m snake (I reckon a copperhead) sunning himself on the path. It looked like a root until it started slithering away!! 😅 I’ll also advise you to check the tides before you hike, and the weather!! Also perhaps long pants due to the bush whacking you’ll need to do on the path...
