Cania Dam — Attraction in Cania

This dam is one of my local dams and I fish regularly fish for bass and Saratoga here. Although the dam is very low it is very good bass fishery well stocked by the local stocking association very rarely do you not catch bass on a trip to cania dam, but as well as being stocked with bass it is stocked with golden perch, silver perch and some big Saratoga. Eel tail catfish and sleepy cod have a good breeding population. When the dam has much more water in it . It has flats, bays, rock edges weed and timber and dead tree tops to fish up the back. great dam to go fishing on, had some good bass caught and a good yellow belly! Views all around are beautiful too, and when the sun hits the gorge it just gives it another level of appeal.
