If your any where near Esperance you need to plan some time to visit Le Grand National Park about 60km from Esperance. Plan to stay at either Le Grand beach (14 camp spots) or Lucky Bay (approx 55 camp spots). For either you need to pre-book via the web site however you can pay at the gate but run the risk of driving all the way out to find fully booked hence do it days beforehand to confirm your spot. This post is about Le Grand beach however you need to factor in visit time to Lucky Bay, Thistle Cove and Hellfire Bay to see these beautiful beaches. The views, sand and water colour is fantastic. Le Grand beach is currently covered in thick layer of seaweed detracting from its tourist photos. There are 14 camp sites at Le Grand beach which i have provided photos of each. $20@ adult per camp site + $17.50 to get your car into the National Park but if you camp multiple nights you only pay the car fee the first night. Volunteer camp site hosts are at Le Grand beach who will come around daily to confirm your booking reference # and regos and they are supported by the NP Rangers. Quality modern clean flush toilets, solar showers (obviously sun dependant) and lots of bins throughout camp area. Only short stroll to beach. Beach is covered by seaweed which is seasonal but detracts on this occasion. Saw lots of kangaroos about the area very used to human presence and you can get close for photos. Le Grand has a beautifiul sunset setting over the water. The sand squeaks as you walk on it. As of this date choose to stay at Lucky Beach in preference to Le Grand due to seaweed on beach. Either way all the previoulsly mentioned beaches need to be visited as each is a destination location by themselves. Guarantee you will take many many photos. This NP is highly highly recommended. To be so close to this NP and not visit these beaches is a crime. Definitely factor in a visit this NP on your Esperance trip, even...
Read moreA must-visit for those who appreciate quiet, natural beauty. The water is clear, and the sand is incredibly soft and white. I enjoyed walking along the vast, uninterrupted shoreline – perfect for a peaceful stroll. That said, the beach is quite remote, and there are no nearby stores or restaurants, so pack all the essentials before arriving. The road leading to the beach can be a bit rough in parts, so be prepared for some off-road driving. If you're looking for a calm place to escape the crowds, this is a great spot. Just don't expect too many conveniences. It’s a lovely place if you want a break from the more...
Read moreEndless stretch of white sand and crystal clear water. Stumbled across this beach by accident but it did not disappoint. Easy vehicle access and little waves so a great destination for those with little kids and 4x4s looking for somewhere for a picnic. Although there is an entry fee to the park ($15 per vehicle of up to 12 people), it’s good to know that the fee goes to good use with every beach in the park free of any litter & plastics with many beaches having access to showers & bathrooms. Definitely a destination worth...
