Cave Woolomai on Philip Island is a picturesque location with a beautiful beach, hidden gems. It can be quite windy and cold, especially in March. The walk to the cave is long took us about 2, 3 hrs to complete, so it is important to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes. Unfortunately, the area is also known for the high number of dead birds that can be found there during certain times of the year. The birds migrate to the area every September from the Aleutian Islands and the chicks are left to survive on their own after their parents leave in April/May.
