Possibly a newly renovated place and the lookout structure seems to be quiet new. Nice place you can see the beach and sea far away. Hills would be nice and green in winter but we went in December. Park few cars and not so busy at all. Its in the down hill road so easy to miss if you drive in the 80 zone if I recall correctly. Check it out if you are on your way to Carrickalinga beach.

Beautiful approach to Carrickalinga, down from Myponga Reservoir lookout. Great views and sunset viewing spot. Electricity pylons and wires are the only detraction from otherwise stunning photo opportunities at the Carrickalinga frame. Beware of kangaroos with poor road sense, if you are driving on the road...

Im sure the view would be nice if you could see past the hair blowing in your face, and having the constant distraction of capturing your hat. Would not recommend on windy day....
