A great spot, off the grid with picturesque views, marsupials to spot, good fishing, and not a house in sight from any camping site. The prices for basics at the kiosk/office are reasonable too. The location features a basic camp kitchen with electric BBQs, some toilets and showers in a couple of amenities blocks too. The one criticism I'd say about this location is that it can get quite busy, and the amenities are limited for the number of campers. That's not a problem if you plan just rough it but if you picked this location so you could still enjoy a nice shower during your trip, be prepared to wait for a while. Given the number of people utilising the amenities, they can get quite dirty in the evening. Overall though, it's a fantastic place, with just the one drawback, and I'll...

Great park and waterway. Been coming for years and never get tired of it. Ground can be uneven and grass long at times. Can have a fire but must be off the ground ie fire pit. There is a boat ramp plus clean toilets. There are 8knot zones around the waterway so be weary. You are quite exposed to the elements like wind and rain. The wind can be quite strong at times. There is an undercover camp kitchen near the main toilets. Don't camp under the large trees as branches do tend to fall off. There is zero phone service at the park and also a few kms out on road. Would give it 5 stars but it would need to fix the no phone service coverage for that. All in all I do love...

I went here for the first time two weeks ago, and it was so lovely. Of course I picked a rainy day to go... the winds were strong and the rain was heavy... but it was so lovely. Even though in those conditions, I had two friends in there two wheel drives, and they could handle the location.

The water is so nice and open! People had boats, sky's, everything out and they looked to have a blast. It was fun watching them all! People were fishing, and we had some rods out. But I think a Kayak or a boat will be needed next time! :D

I will be coming back again with the misses for a nice relaxing...

A beautiful location about 40 min drive from Singleton. Some powered sites available and plenty of room for non-powered campers. During off-peak you can sometimes get the place to yourself! Its great for the kids, swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing. Its a bonus having a campfire which most places dont allow. The amenities are clean and well maintained and the female caregiver is wonderful to deal with. Definitely one of my favorite places

Amazing views of water and green surrounding hills. Very peaceful and quiet environment perfect for camping and day trip if you are around hunter valley area.its about 1.5 hours from Cessnock so do allow enough time to return if you are not camping. Large camping area with boat launch. A few picnic tables and BBQ areas but you mostly need to be self sufficient. There is power in the toilets and showers but not around the camp sites.
