Such a beautiful, peaceful location! There is a wonderful walking trail around the Lagoon, approximately 1.4kms long, crossing over a well constructed bridge, with plenty of seating scattered around the full length of the track. The trail makes up part of the Kelpie Trail which takes you down beside the Glenelg River, it is clearly marked by blue posts. Large grassed areas are available for camping provided you are self contained, and you are welcome to stay for up to 30 days. Fishing is popular, with the Lagoon being regularly stocked with redfin and trout. And for the birdwatchers out there, a large number of waterbirds quite often frequent the Lagoon.
