If you enjoy learning about the past by reading signs and using your imagination, then you might enjoy this part of Australian history. The entrance sign is the most useful at telling you what you are actually looking at, so I recommend taking pics (or using the ones I've attached) so give yourself a guided tour as you complete the track. Some numbers seem to point the wrong way, so be sure to look around for the correct feature, especially number 15.

Eureka Reef is worth exploring to understand the limitations of the flexibility of potential poverty 👌 The Gold working indicators are well defined ! On my visit today i noticed about 20 holes dug by Amateur gold prospector's ! Fill your holes in & learn why detecting this area is worthless 👌

A fantastic old gold mine tour to take awaits you. Listen to the podcast while you take a gentle walk to discover the mine back in it's working days. The walk is very easy with quality footwear. Might experience a few slippery conditions in the wet, although still very walkable.

Nice walk in the bush, following the footsteps of miners from the 1850s. Relics of constructions, shafts and wells are still present on site. You can still see the veins of gold on quartz stones. There is a beautiful guided tour that you can download. Just type janwositzky.com.au and enjoy. Time of the walk is about an hour. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat. You can also have a...

Worth a visit if you love your goldrush history and are happy to walk. Short drive from Castelmain then last couple km on narrow dirt/gravel road. 1.8km walking circuit. I recommend taking a photo of the information board at the start of the hike as points of interest are numbered but not labelled. Most ruins barely recognisable but still a...
