Forest Sky Pier is a must-visit attraction for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. The pier is a 15-meter high lookout platform that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding rainforest and coastline. The walk to the pier is quite easy, and visitors can enjoy the beautiful flora, fauna and banana trees along the way. Once on the pier, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the lush, green rainforest canopy. The pier is open all year round, and visitors can access it for a nominal fee. It is an ideal location for photography, birdwatching, or just enjoying the scenic views. The pier is also an excellent spot for watching the sunrise or sunset, and visitors can easily spend hours taking in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Also if you love bananas and avocado, make sure you have some cash with you so that you can taste the local fruits.

The Coffs Coast is the only region in New South Wales where the mountains of the Great Dividing Range meet the Pacific Ocean. This makes for some unforgettable scenery, as you’ll discover at the Sealy Lookout, a short drive up from Coffs Harbour through banana plantations. Here in the Orara East State Forest the Sky Pier is set atop an escarpment, 310 metres above the coast and projecting more than 20 metres over the edge of the lookout. Needless to say, the views are sensational, rolling out over the city, the Solitary Islands Marine Park and the entirety of the Coffs Coast. Visit on a clear day and the view south extends for no fewer than 100 kilometres. You can also spend some time exploring the rainforest on a choice of tracks, while there’s a cafe, picnic tables and a shelter by the lookout.

If you have time for a quick trip, this is a great place to stop. The drive up to the park is a bit dodgy in spots. Narrow road with tight turns. Once at the top there is lots of parking. Tree Top adventure is just before the parking lot for the pier. The pier is right off the parking lot with beautiful views. It is a fair drop down into the trees below the pier so hold onto your cameras. Excellent spot for family photos. Short walk through the forest just on the other side of the parking lot. Highly recommend

Took us 3 attempts before we got to the pier without it being head and shoulders in the clouds, but the view was worth the repeat visits. The area is well cared for and the small cafe and covered seating areas make it a good picnic spot. The car park is not large, but adequate as most people only stay long enough to take a selfie. There is a short forest walk out the back of the car park. Well worth the visit, but checkout the weather before heading up. There are a couple of drop toilets.

A 10-minute drive from Coffs Harbour will take you to this lookout. It is a narrow road with asphalt paving up to the lookout. There is enough parking space and easy access to the site. The blue and green colors create a stunning landscape from a high vantage point. The place has seating around it, but no trash bins. Mostly in the spring or summer time, there are a lot of trails everyone can try. A visit to a banana farm on the way is a good option.

The Forest Sky Pier offers magnificent coastal views over the city of Coffs Harbour and up and down the coastline. There are walking tracks through rainforest, ranging from one to three hours, and picnic tables and toilets are provided. Only a short drive off the Pacific Highway from Coffs Harbour, Sealy Lookout and the Forest Sky Pier sits within a flora reserve in Orara East State Forest - part of the amazing state Forests of the Coffs Coast.
