A pebble based beach among a quiet isolated spot on the base of Mount Cook some 8 km out of Cooktown.
A favorite dog beach for the locals, we were greeted by 3 dogs upon arrival unleashed.
You can understand why people were quarantined on this beach in it's historic past with smallpox, as it is very remote.
Worth visiting and comparing with Finch Bay or Cherry Tree point.
