I did myself a favor, from the U.S. I traveled to the unique wine region of Margaret River, Western Australia. While there I was fortunate enough to have my own personal sommelier-wine-tour-guide, Eva Evangeline, who unequivocally recommended the boutique tasting experience of Cape Grace Wines & Cellar Door. I recall my first taste of the 2013 Vintage Petit Verdot - dark-red juicy fruits / subtleness of the tannins - I was in wine-nirvana! Of all the wineries in Margaret River, this is where my group chose to spend all of our money - not only is the taste divine but they were innovative and very different to everything else we had tasted. The Nat Pen that they offered was a personal favourite but I couldn’t fault a single drop. The highlight of the trip for me and a true hidden gem of the region....
