Thredbo Valley Horse Riding — Attraction in Crackenback

This place is simply the best. To start with the safety and demonstration before you ride is informative and fun. You are not just given a horse to ride you're given a loved horse who is so well trained and looked after that you will have the best horse ridding experience. I rode Curley and before I got on him I was given a background story of him being an orphaned part clydesdale/thoroughbread, 9 years old bay and was about to be transitioned from an advanced rider to join the intermediate rider in the line of the trail ride. He was beautiful. We rode out in a group of about 11 including 4 team. One of the guides was Freya and we hit it off like we were old mates. She was so much fun and told me of the solo ride we could do to the top of the ridge. So.... after we rode the 1.5 hour trail with the team we had a 30min rest and I jumped straight back into the saddle on Curley and with Freya and Mon they took me on the best horse riding experience I could have wished for. These horses are trained so well they respond with the softest hand and leg aids and know the terrain so well they just take you on an adventure. Freya and Mon were simply the best guides who are top horse riders! I could not recommend this place more highly. Thank you Team and Curly for making my day/month/year!...

Thredbo Valley Horse Riding is by far the best trail riding established I have been to. Our group of 6 riders were greeted warmly on arrival, and great care was taken to ensure our safety and comfort throughout the entire ride. Nev, Linda and the other guides ensured we were all matched with horses that suited our individual levels of experience. We all appreciated the time taken to explain how these horses should be ridden (in accordance with how they have been trained), as well as learning a bit about the background and personality of our mounts.

My beautiful horse "Stripe" was a pleasure to ride. Responsive, with a soft mouth and kind disposition ...it was clear that he enjoyed his job, and was so fit and healthy. ....a testament to the care and professionalism of his owners.

I hope to get the opportunity to ride with Thredbo Valley Horse Riding again...

Linda, Nev & Freir were outstanding, all their knowledge, support and kindness could not have been faulted. They have put in so much hard work to ensure the rides are safe, fun and super enjoyable. The horses had an amazing connection with their owners and you can see how well they are looked after.

Along the ride, we were provided with abit of history of the area as well as some interesting information about the horses that were selected for us. The horses were fantastic, so kind, humorous and just beautiful souled.

We enjoyed every second of it and will be back again! Truly the best day...
